Welsh Government released an update 17th May 2023, to inform us that they are pushing ahead with the lease negotiations for Gilestone Farm, Talybont-on-Usk.
James Evans MS said "The Labour Government have spent millions without a full, open tendering process. Public funds must be spent with care and due diligence. The £4.25million spent on purchasing the farm could have been better spent on our Welsh NHS"
"The Welsh Government have refused my requests for them to attend a community meeting - instead they are using the Community Council, Powys County Council and National Park to hide behind. If the business case is so clear - then why not come and face the community?".
James Evans MS is convening a public meeting on Thursday 8th June 2023 at 7pm at Henderson Hall. The above agencies have been invited so that they can share the factual information they have with the community. We are awaiting their replies.
