Welsh lamb is being shipped to the United States for the first time in decades, in a move that will boost jobs and growth in Mid Wales.

Welsh sheep farmers are now able to export lamb across the Atlantic and take advantage of a brand-new consumer market after the US Government dropped a ban on lamb imports from the UK.

James said:

"This is excellent news for our hard-working sheep farmers and a huge boost for Brecon & Radnorshire.

“Welsh lamb is popular around the world and is particularly valued because of our high welfare standards.

"Our farmers now have a market of 330 million consumers in America, with people from Philadelphia to Phoenix finally able to tuck into brilliant Welsh lamb."
