Our area is under threat. Multiple wind farm proposals could overwhelm our landscape, damage ecosystems, threaten jobs and deter tourists.
Our rural economy would take a massive hit, affecting each and every one of us.
James is working hard to ensure local voices are heard. He has:
- Questioned Ministers on Planning Policy Wales
- Raised concerns that communities are being ignored
- Called for all wind proposals to be assessed together
- Demanded that any power lines are placed underground
- Insisted that Welsh Government interests are fully declared
This is my home, your home. I will not sit back and watch commercial companies destroy our landscape and exploit our area in the name of profit.
Our upland areas are rich in peat and home to endangered species like curlews. We have Sites of Special Scientific Interest, mature trees and pristine countryside — all of which could be at risk from industrial-scale development.
Tourism is the lifeblood of our rural economy. Developments on this scale would damage ecosystems, scar the landscape and threaten jobs that depend on visitors coming here to enjoy our natural environment.
