Local MS James Evans has encouraged Powys residents to take part in an ongoing survey on stroke services.

Health leaders and clinicians are conducting a review of stroke services in Herefordshire and Worcestershire, which includes looking at the provision of stroke services for patients in Powys.

This includes the stroke services provided at County Hospital in Hereford. A total of 150 people in Powys were admitted to hospital following a stroke in 2021-22.

The survey ends on 11th November 2022. For more information on how to take part, follow this link.

James said:

“This review is hugely important for residents in our area, and I encourage you to take part.

“Around 1 in 6 people will have a stroke, so it’s essential that there are good-quality services to deal with the problem.”
