In a Senedd debate this week, James Evans MS called for Labour Ministers in Cardiff Bay to reduce business rates in Wales.
The Welsh Government are responsible for setting business rates, and they are currently the highest in Great Britain.
Wales also has the worst GDP output per head of any part of the United Kingdom.
James said:
“Wales has the highest business rates in Great Britain thanks to the Labour-run Welsh Government.
“That’s bad for local businesses here in Mid Wales who have less money to spend on developing their businesses and paying employees.
“It’s clear that business needs a friend, and Welsh Conservatives are committed to reducing business rates to boost jobs and growth.”
