James Evans MS says we cannot ignore the genuine concerns about immigration levels in the UK.

James said:

“It is clear from feedback during the General Election campaign that reducing immigration levels was one of the biggest concerns of the British public. The Liberal Democrats, including our new MP, continue to be tone deaf on this issue, pushing for closer integration to EU institutions and relaxing rules around free movement.

"The UK Labour Government have been courting European Officials and have been open about their intentions to get closer alignment with Europe. They should remember that the British Public voted to Leave the EU in 2016 and many of the concerns people had then are as valid today as then.

“I hope that our new MP, who is not from our area, does his homework and respects the fact that the majority of people in this area voted to leave and do not wish to have further integration with the EU gravy train.”
