James Evans MS attended the opening of the Astronomy Igloo at Rockbridge Park, Presteigne. This is a fantastic addition to the facilities at Rockbridge and will allow for star gazing in Presteigne’s Dark Skies.
James Evans MS said:
“I was honoured to cut the ribbon on Rockbridge’s Astronomy Igloo today and great to see this business investing in the site. I hope it will attract more visitors to Presteigne and the wider area.”
“The tourism sector in Mid Wales is vital for our local economy, providing jobs and income for many. Welsh Government should be supporting Tourism businesses but instead, they seem hell bent on harming them – whether that is the disastrous Tourism Tax or the 182-day occupancy rule. I urge the Lib Dem/Labour run Powys County Council to follow the lead of Pembrokeshire County Council and say they will NOT impose a Tourism levy here in Powys.”
